    I once used a float from a Volkswagen, it was an oval plastic like one, with a hole in the middle that it went on for the vw sender. I just bent the curved part for the ford, slid it on, and then did a short 90 bend at the end so it didn't slip off. Worked just fine

    Biggest pita in my opinion is removing the two horizontal pieces near the cluster, theres screws under it. Past that I wouldn't be afraid to pull one. I'll be pulling the one in my dads truck soon

    You could, would only help if one of the ground straps at the block are poor. If I remember right the 3g needs ignition source to energize, if the ign source is poor it'll cause the regulator to be all over the place. From recent experience... Make sure none of the pins are pushed into the...

    Also, I would suggest going over every bolt and nut at least 4 times, they all snug down a little more each time

    At least it'll look good when it is done. Be sure to torque them correctly at a criss cross. You can over tighten them even with a 1/4 ratchet, then they'll leak.

    You can do the valve cover gaskets without pulling the 093 turbo. You will have to remove the big bracket that holds the fuel filter and alternator in place though. As for the return kit, yes you can leave the injectors in and do just the return caps and o rings.
