I would be cautions with it mounted on the bucket with these heavy motors extended out on the lift boom. Unless your is a larger tractor. But make one to attach to the 3 point hitch and now your talking some lifting stability.
I think if I did it over I would turn it 90 degrees and have the top of the charger point toward the fender instead of the firewall. It would make it easier running the wires to the batteries
Here is some ways to tell the bad ones from good
Post in thread 'Cheap ZD-9 Motorcraft plugs on Flea-Bay? Legit or sketchy?' https://www.oilburners.net/threads/cheap-zd-9-motorcraft-plugs-on-flea-bay-legit-or-sketchy.93670/post-1146123
I ended up getting motorcraft but from a brick and mortar parts store. I ordered some off line ebay or amazon, cant remember, and the were counterfeit. There are a bunch of fake bad glow plugs on line
I made a bracket to mount it behind the right side battery and used a cover NOCO plug in that has two plugs. I have one to the battery maintainer and one can be plugged into the block heater in the winter
I took the cowel seal off and I figured out I had a leak in the wind shield seal so I had the take the trim off. Once I was that far, I had a new wiper motor sitting on the shelf for a while so it seemed like a good time to do that. I took off the cowel cover and it looked like the mouse version...
I headed across town to LMC Truck and picked up a new hood/cowel seal. Some new side window seals and a 3rd brake light/cargo light. When I got there the power was out at the Ford warehouse but luckily the already had my order so me and the parts went to the Chevy warehouse about 5 blocks away...
Looks like the valve kissed one of the pistons and on looks like it might have had something, maybe a failed glow plug tip bounce around in the chamber
How many cycles did you do on each cylinder when you checked compression? You have to crank the motor several revolutions to get a true reading for each.
Have you had the valve out in the past? Is it possible that the return line got switched when reconnecting? I have not messed with one on the truck yet but I work with a lot of valve set ups at work and error in destination can happen
No problem! I spent too much time looking in the wrong place for that same issue. I think the other parts I replace need to be also but it was the cable that was the real issue
