Picked up a hitch hiker. Still had to open the gate myself

    Don't Ya Just Love...

I started on a pad made out of some rubber mats I had. Similar to those garden kneeling pads or a exercise mat. Anyway I cut it in layers held together with spray glue to go around and cover that spike and over the radiator that I burn the crap out of myself on all the time.

    6.9 IDI running like crap

@CarterDawson I just had a pump from Pensacola and some not so good injectors from swag. I have a fuel pressure guage between the filter and IP. With that set up I could not maintain fuel pressure at highway speed. Pressure would drop to zero and the motor would stumble. I recently installed R&D...

Here is where I was at before I started pulling in the antifreeze

    Vacuum Filling Coolant (1993 7.3 IDI)....possible Concerns??

I used a very similar system to fill mine. The vacuum helps to avoid air pockets being trapped anywhere in the coolant system. I works really well

So what did you do with your truck today?

I hit the 500 mile mark on my break in oil so it was time to change it. Did an "autopsy" on the filter too. The good news, no glitter in the filter so I think everything is working as it should. Have the new R&D 80 pump and injector installed with the returns - no leaks! After doing some...

    1986 International 6.9idi

Here is an example. I dont know the quality of this unit but I am sure there are quality ones to be had if you do some research

    1986 International 6.9idi

There are some self contained after-market units that are fully electric and not belt driven that work as stand alone units. The compressors mount to the firewall and come charged with the "freon" already and a quick connect bulkhead, kind of like a mini-split for a house. I have seen mixed...

Did R&D idi performance go out of business

Your welcome, My advice to you if you get them is to watch Justin's video on installing them. It's a process. Not difficult but my first time I put them in I just shoved them onto the installed injectors and they leaked

Did R&D idi performance go out of business

You have to be diligent and check for what you want regularly. If you call they will usually give you a ballpark time things will be stocked. My recent example of injectors. Had an idea of when and started checking 3-4 times a day. 12 sets came available and I bought 1. The rest were gone in...

So what did you do with your truck today?

I can vouch for the quality of the dash replacement they carry for the dodge ram. My wife's 2000 ram 2500 had the usual cracks and brittleness. The replacement (not a cover) is perfect in every way, fit, color match and better durability

So what did you do with your truck today?

It's like Christmas eve! Got it all ready for some inbound R&D injectors. Can't wait

Oil pressure. Should I be worried?

My dash gauge only works when it has a notion to, so I also have a oil pressure gauge on the pillar. Seems like oil level effects it some if you get a little low, to me, it seems to make the pressure run on the lower side. I think even at 6 psi that pump is moving a bunch of oil around your engine
