Those are just tamper marks to tell if the cover has been removed but not important unless your warranty is still in effect, but those ford 40+ year warranties will really hit you in the pocket book. If you do open the cover be sure to go read some of the tech articles on issues to watch for. If...
Hey, I resemble that remark :D. Actually I also have the coolant filter and one of the SCA charged filters for later use I agree with the RadBaron that is seems like a good use of a $100 bucks.... even before fancy wheels
I haven't got the chance to drive it much since I installed it but so far I am liking it alot and the fact it is single din so no dash butchery to fit it. I have been fighting the 7.3's recent appetite for serpentine belts. I think I may have everything happy....maybe
I added a cheap touch screen to see how I like it. It has wireless android auto and apple whatever it is.
It also let me add a rear camera
And a small sub just because
Mine did but I didn't know it when I ordered them so I added them on to the order so I have some back ups. I wish I had been able to get a new filler neck for the rear tank due to some dumbassery on my part when i was removing the old tank.
That is a bummer. I just replace my tanks and sending units but luckily my hardlines were good. I did end up having to change out the tank selector switch after I did the tanks. I think the better fuel flow carried some old debris into it. Hopefully you can find some replacements
Also its a garrett turbo and I have the gauge reading right from where the waste gate hose would have gone. Results may vary. I have the worst egt (highest) when the boost pipe blew apart. P.S. that scared the poop out of me when that went the first time LOL
On my stock factory turbo I have the waste gate basically deleted with all-thread in place of the actuator. Glowshift gauge shows 12 psi while accelerating with brief peaks just under 15 psi if I really get after it
Remember when ya paint it all pretty, by the time everything is on it all you can see is the valve covers and the oil pan so pick a good color for those LOL
I started trying to find a squeak in the dash a couple days ago an got carried away
Just kidding. I bought a rebuilt tilt column to replace the worn out wobbler
The old one had a lot of turning over it lifetime this retainer on the spring is now a cresent instead of a ring.
And since I was...
I dont know about "have to" but I bought a new updated turbo baffled one and it did not match what I took off soooooo..... I drilled the other holes that were in the original. I made sure to keep a shop vac on it to grab what came off the drill and flushed through it until i was happy that it...
maybe a soft face dead blow hammer could encourage a separation. Anytime I can involve a hammer to solve a problem it make me happy though so use your best judgment:smash:LOL
another thing to consider, if you find that you have solved all your vacuum issues and are still having the pedal fade, I had that issue because of the RABS. If the wiring got dinged up when the engine was pulled it might malfunction. Mine just let brake fluid by the valve all the time so the...
I would pull the schrader valve on the fuel filter head and catch the fuel in a container while you crank it an see if you get good fuel flow there. If you dont get good flow there your pump may be tired
