    Thank you!

    Another Pop tester build

Maybe!? LOL No problem. It definitely wasn't all my own brainstorming. To be honest I just borrowed from what I thought were the better parts of what a few other people on the web did. There are probably plenty of improvements that could be done

    Cylinder misfire

@IDIBRONCO I have some Howe's in the fuel. New tank fuel pump, injector lines, injector pump, injectors but I am not against running some Hotshot Secret or seafoam through it. I will for sure check the torque on the rockers

    Cylinder misfire

It runs and idles okay but under a load, driving, you can tell one cylinder at least isn't popping like it should

    Cylinder misfire

I bought "new" but not from the recommended guys. I got them from swag performance

    Cylinder misfire

Hey everybody, still working some kinks out on the engine fresh rebuild. I could tell I wasn't getting all the cylinders firing evenly. I have a good sized oil leak on the right side valve cover so that has to come off. I have tightened it as much as possible. Probably have deformed the cover at...

    Another Pop tester build

One thing I wish I could have done would have been to be able to use an o-ring to seal between the top nut and the nipple that goes though it. That is how the ram originally sealed but, after dilling the hole in the cap nut larger It would require some machining to make the o-ring groove deep...

    Another Pop tester build

Part 2 Here is a couple pictures of my nice JB Weld work I put it together and apart a few times to make sure where I could put the JBW were it would not interfere with final assembly. Then very unlike myself I stopped and let it cure fully. After everything cured I started putting it together...

    Another Pop tester build

I had been looking to get a Pop tester. Seemed like all the ones that can be bought are iffy. If this is old news I apologize. SO, I read up on OLDBULL8'S bottle jack build. It is great. I am just very novice at welding so, I kept looking at video, threads and PDFs. So I came up with this...

10.25 Sterling, How Bad is too Bad

Thank you Goat! I do not have that tool but if I get back into the booster I will definitely get one

10.25 Sterling, How Bad is too Bad

Why? And what make you think that I didn't know it had to be addressed. There is no reason for unhelpful comments. I wanted to do the conversion regardless. I came back to give an update the "new" master cylinder that had just been installed before I parked the truck years ago (to fix the...

10.25 Sterling, How Bad is too Bad

It has been a bit since I installed this disc brake kit. I finally was able to take the truck for a true drive and I have some things to pass on for anyone thinking about doing this. I am learning lessons. Most importantly with it being originally disc/drum set up, the brake line to the rear...

7.3 idi crank but no start

Wow I guess I should have read this earlier :) another embarrassing moment

7.3 idi crank but no start

I had an experience somewhat like @grahamal092. During this build engine starting and running great. Then one day I go to start. No wait to start light so I try to start without it. Only cranks for as long as I dared. Even bought a new glow plug controller. Then I saw that the engine wire...

    DIY odd ball parts thread.

I made a bracket that mounts my oil catch can where the CDR valve was it also holds the outlet from the valve cover to the can. As Nero said, this pales compared to your work

@IDIoit where did you get those fabbed valve covers? So nice!

So what did you do with your truck today?

Thank you for the info! I will definitely do that

So what did you do with your truck today?

Lol, my puppy helped me post my last post before I was finished. So as I said I felt a bit rowdy and confident in the ol boy. I put it low and got doing a pretty good one leg burnout and BOOM! Scared the s#!t out of me but all is still running good backed it back in the barn and found this It...

So what did you do with your truck today?

So I did a shake down run last night and figured out I had a bad oil leak on the right valve cover and the throttle would stick open because it hit the new intake I made. Also found that my shift tube bushings were trash. Fixed all those problems. No leaks, throttle is not stickin gear selector...

    LED dash lights Issue

This just happened because of the dash light itself. My experience anyway. Just switching the dash bulb for the ABS to LED caused a problem with the brakes system. Going back to the original bulb and the problem went away. Hopefully it saves someone else from making my mistake

    LED dash lights Issue

To be honest I have not checked to see if they do or not. Between getting the 30 years of dust cleaned off the gauges and lens cover with all the lights functioning it looks 100% better.

So what did you do with your truck today?

My old hood insulation was nasty. I have had this kit for a while and finally installed it. I looks really clean.

    LED dash lights Issue

This may already be common knowledge but, I had the dash apart fixing a few things and since I was in there I put some new LED lights in the gauge cluster. I had read not to use an LED for the battery light so I used a stock incandescent bulb there. Well, If you use an LED buld for the ABS dash...

So what did you do with your truck today?

I got it of Amazon. It is a Evil Energy. I like that it has a dipstick that screwsin the top

So what did you do with your truck today?

I am inching closer to a completed project. Today I finally finished getting the intake plumbed and clearing the intercooler pipes. I made a bracket that mounts where the CDR valve was. I used it to hold a hose connection in the valve cover and to mount a oil catch can. So I dont forget what it...
