    Interesting, seems pretty high priced though. I paid $650 for a 7.3l IDIT from a salvage yard a few years ago. Are the marine diesels that much better than the ones available in trucks? Of course, I bought mine as a core that needed a rebuild, but that post says it needs head gaskets.

    Does the truck still run and operate since that wire burnt down? I suspect it would have been for a trailer coupler that was just installed incorrectly. Look under the bed at that 7 pin coupler and you might even find some wire nuts there.

    Make sure you only change 1 thing at a time. In other words, don't swap to the parts engine injector lines AND the parts engine IP. I'd just swap the injector lines and then see how she runs. You know you need the injector line brackets so start there. Good luck.

    MAW pickup one of those Lisle Pitman arm pullers. Generally they aren't too expensive and it's always good to have tools in the shop.

    Hopefully the local auto parts store has the gearbox you need. I shop at my local O'Reilly's as well. x4 on using a puller to salvage the Pitman arm. I thought the pitman arm was a non-wear part (unlike the idler arm)?

    Definitely look into that OD light. The early E4OD transmissions weren't the strongest unit, especially since you're using it as a plow truck.
