Another update: Decided to to pull the IP AGAIN. Since it didn't seem to be the o-ring on the pump itself that was leaking I was sure there had to be a crack or something in the gear housing. I have an extra so I was just going to swap them out if I found nothing. Cover all the bases. Upon...
Got everything buttoned up, new o-ring on IP and resealed gear housing. Ran it a bit on Sunday. Leak still there unfortunately. Short of replacing the gear housing what is my next step. Originally I thought the leak could be from high crankcase pressure but I'm running a 1" line vented from the...
A brief update: I was able to source an IP install kit from Russ(typ4) today. Pulled the IP after work and found a trail of oil from the front of the IP where it mounts to the cover to about half way back on the pump where it then dripped down to the valley pan. While I have the pump off going...
I have been chasing a fairly good oil leak since I did my rebuild. Couldn't pinpoint it at first, as it was probably coming from multiple places. I was getting oil driipping down the back of the starter and oil pan. Decided to go back in and reseal the top of motor just to cover all bases. The...
The Reyco-granning set up looks interesting but it is only made to fit the super-duty chassis not the Ford F series. So can it be made to fit. Also, what is the price point on this?
Hey Macrobb, could you post a pic of the valve cover vent if you can. I agree with the fact a lot more oil gets sucked up by the blowby gasses mounted on the front cover. I feel I get a ton of oil coming through on mine, and would like to relocate to the valve cover. thanks!
is the barbed fitting you welded up on the intake? Also , do you need some vacuum to properly vent the crankcase. I basically just have a catch can then plumbed from their into the exhaust. Curious to see how you end up plumbing the CDR system. Thanks!
spend a little extra money now and fix it once . You will not be disappointed with any of the previously mentioned vendors! Pensacola is darn sure not one of them
Great, Thanks! Yeah , I wouldn't mind finding a way to cut down on the oil in the intercooler. All the boots get oily as well. Im also not running a cdr.
I would love to see some pics of the cdr set up when you get to that point. I ran my cdr through the intake pre-turbo and ended up with a bunch of oil in the intercooler pipes. Right nnow I'm just running a catch can vented into the exhaust ..works ok. Running the R&D setup. Great work man!
Sorry, should have reread.that post. Yes, what's the best way to splice into those plastic./ nylon fuel lines. If possible , I'm wondering if there is a way to hook up directly to the FSV without splicing.
Hi all! Looking for little help with my Holly Red electric fuel pump install . After have some issues with my Facet pump and reading the most recent thread on the subject I decided to give this pump a go. My biggest issue is how hook up to the fuel selector valve with the new fuel line. Can you...
Thanks for the replies guys. I have a 1989 with the zf-5. Talked to AutoZone and they didn't have the set for that year. No worries, I can just do separately. I am curious if that 93 kit will work on the 89 though.
Hi all! I have been following this post and have similar issues with my clutch. I have been looking at my local auto parts stores and no one can get a set with the master/ slave cylinder in a set . let alone one that is pre- bled. Also looked at summit . Nada. I know the rock auto one will...
