    1989 F-250 7.3 Project

I am not trying to stir the pot, and asking a serious question.... A rag got sucked into the turbo.. I understand that can damage or destroy the turbo. But, how does this destroy the entire engine? Did the cold side turbine come apart ans send stuff through the engine? If it just bent the...

03 Ram hard to shift from park

The rooster comb is more than likely your problem... Richard at Precision Transmission talks about them on almost every Dodge transmission he tears apart.. Here you go.... here is the next 40 minutes for you... LOL I watch every video they make, and @david85 used his Ford information when...

    1986 F-150 conversion thoughts

Droopy is a fun truck to drive. When I bought my Jetta from Darrin a few years ago, I was looking at Droopy and the conversion. Darrin handed me the keys and said take him for a spin. It moved that Regular Cab F-250 4x4 ZF-5 down the road well. It had plenty of power, for a “little 4...

    What's up with the censoring

As said, we are working on removing words from the list, but we all have full time jobs, and families, and other responsibilities. Yes, @Shaggy ownes several forums, and he has to keep all the forums in mind. Many of the advertisers on here, advertise on those also. As for the language /...

    What's up with the censoring

As said in the other threads, there was an 800+ word list added, and there are words that should have not been included. We are trying to fix it as we find them. If we do not notice them, please drop them in here, so we can remove them from the list. Also, as said in other threads, the...

    Oil filter and wrenches??

I know for certain on the 6.0, and the 6.4 (The 6.7 uses a screw on filter that is not the FL1995) use a cartridge filter and the way the housing is designed, the housing holds the oil when the engine isn't running. There is a drain valve that is held closed by the filter cartridge, and it only...

OSB Dually Bed or Driver side panel

Is the damage you want to repair in the fiberglass "hip" fender, or in the steel bedside it self? The hip cam be swapped out (if you can find one). The bed side can also, that requires drilling out spot welds, removing the eide, adn then tacking it all back in. My opinion, if it's the sheet...

The wife has murder in her eyes

I've heard back from Shaggy. When he turned this feature, he didn't realize how restrictive the word list was. He has gone through this list and removed words that really shouldn't be censored. As you can see now, your title is back, correctly, and the words we found in the other threads...

I have asked @Shaggy about the words that are being censored. I'm waiting to hear back.

    Couple of questions

The first picture, with the bags and the plugs looks legit. But... Looking at the pictures of the plugs themselves, it seems like they are careful to not show the markings on the plugs themselves. A real Motorcraft plug would say BERU on it somewhere. That one picture it looks like one of...

    Look what Gale just posted!!!

Well, the factory location for the 7.3 Controller, is on the back of the intake, by the firewall. Are you sure it's the 6.9 style you have? The 6.9 controller threads into the back of the drivers side head. The 7.3 controller is bolted to the intake, just beside where a 6.9 one would be...

@Shaggy I have messaged Shaggy again on this. I don't use tapatalk, so I don't know what it is, or is not doing.

    Look what Gale just posted!!!

Honestly, on the factory 6.9 System, switching to a push button is the "proper" fix. The factory 6.9 Controller has a bad habit of failing "on" and burning up the glow plugs. So most owners just switch to a push button, to supply +12 volts to the relay on the fender to activated the glow...

    Crank and piston color

Not sure on a bare block... but I remember a picture of a couple of cranks on a bathroom scale (I think it was in a possible difference between a 6.9/7.3/7.3T cranks) and I think the cranks were 80-90 lbs each.....

    V-Belt A/C bracket for 92 7.3 idi

This may help... broaden your search... any Ford IDI F-Series 6.9/7.3 IDI from 1983 to early 1992 will have that bracket. Maybe someone on here may even have one floating around.

Power steering diminished after hydro-boost conversion

I think with hydroboost and the Ford C-2 pump, you can see a bit if a decrease in the power steering at idle. My 03 Excursion 6.0 with Factory Hydroboost has done this since I bought it. Had less than 70k on it. In a parking lot with your foot on the brake, the steering assist is minimal...

    Engine Starts Then Dies

Absolutely. Actually, some would say that in an N/A Truck it is MORE important. An N/A can spike EGT's easier than a turbo one due to the decreased air flow. A "factory tuned" IDI will run right on the edge if you are monitoring it.... it takes less fuel to heat up the EGT's on an N/A vs a...

    One new tire

Yep.. my oldest thought using the torque wrench was a waste of time... 3 or 4 ugga duggas each lug nut was good enough. He had a bricknose F-250 IDI and had asked me about a strange noise and vibration in the truck. I took it for a ride, and let it coast in neutral, engine off (5 speed 4x4)...

So what did you do with your truck today?

I normally prefer a light roast or “breakfast blend” as some places call it. I like the light roast from Circle K with some Equal and French Vanilla Creamer. Or if I make coffee at home, the big red can of coffee from Sam’s (House brand) is what I make. But…. Momma likes Starbucks…. So we...

    Emergency 9/11 - Ran 6.9 on gasoline/diesel mix

The call thing depends on your States or Provinces laws.... For example, in Indiana, only 1 party on the call has to be aware the call is being recorded, for it to be admissible.. Yes, that means you call some one, and you record the call (you are aware of the recording) this means it is legit...
