Weird thing is my old pulley on the stock alternator has two grooves that are the same.. this is my old alternator with the same belts as in that video of my new alternator.
Come to think of it the ebay page for the part number does say it's for a 92-94 E250/E350 van with a 7.3 so I am kinda confused. But the pulleys do appear to be a different size... hmm..
Lol I don't but I'm here now. Honestly you get used to it. I'm just in Pennsylvania but 45* and up is shorts and t shirt weather. Anything above 15 is jeans and a sweatshirt. Below that I'll actually wear my winter coat..
Neither was the nut on the flywheel of the small snowblower I was working on in my small engine thread. That was scary after I drill started it the other night and the nut hopped off and the flywheel was wobbling.
My 6.9 throw out bearing likes to scream hello in cold mornings for 5 seconds.. just ignore that lol. Starts great first turn just always on 5 or 6 cylinders for a bit.
This is my 7.3 before I had fixed all the glow plugs. 2 front ones were dead. It was -8F that night and only 5 in the am...
I have the one from my old alternator, does it just come off by that nut or is it also pressed on? I hate this pressed crap I can never get it to come off.
Yeah but the 1g alternator that was on the truck also would do this sometimes just not quite as bad. Plus I really don't have a way to run two belts off of it. Just seems like something is wrong.

I wonder if this would work better.. 43" long is close enough to 42 7/8 but a top width of .41 instead of .50 would sit better in the pulley perhaps? We tightened it with a big steel bar this morning...
This one already had the pulley on it and it was the same price as the ones I found without it. I should probably just tighten it some more. I think the belt I used after looking up old purchases on the orielly's webiste was a gates 9425 which should be 1/2" top width which is what all of the...
So I had already swapped all of my trucks to 3G except Ernest. I figured it was time this fall and got one ordered up. I got this one which I put in my 6.9 with no issues...
If that's true have them shove some home insulation in between it and see if it goes away. I've used that pink home insulation to stop vibrating exhaust systems on my cavalier since high school.
Yep you win. Black wire would not ground on either side of the turn signal bulb holders in the rear. Spliced in a ground on both sides to a self tapper screw inside the metal where the assembly goes into and all the weirdness went away.
Easy fix, long diagnosis time lol.
For no reason my turn signals have stopped working when my running lights are on. Everything works fine when they are off but when they are on the turn signals flash dimm back and forth on both sides of the truck and the reverse lights come on.
If I turn the reverse lights on then the running...
Also, I put this one in my 6.9 and I'll vouch for it. My factory wiring was already destroyed. So if you don't already have a working system and want a second tank this one is great! 62$, you can use 3/8 fuel hose with clamps on everything and get rid of those air leaking push lock things...
Yeah, this just sucks all around. It sounds like you had more defective work done. The backing plate goes on the outside of the flywheel from what I'm reading, so I would assume if you didn't use it that the bolts wouldn't really be tight or they are but the flywheel isn't really tight to the...

Man, I want this but it doesn't have rear seats. And the fiance doesn't want a "big creepy van" despite the fact that we have numerous trucks that look exactly like this. That's a different topic.
Took all the broken stuff off. I just gotta bend the passenger fender straight which I since did after taking this picture down in the bottom left, tightened the fender bolts and the bumper will hide the scars.
Man, the horns almost got my ac condenser. Flattened some fins if you look at the...
Does yours sound like this at idle? Ignore your trans noise and just try to compare to the engine.
This 6.9 (granted it has a T19 but it had a new smf flywheel), I had just put 8 new injectors in and one of them wasn't tightened down right and was leaking and firing at the wrong time.
It did...
Yeah of all of the smf videos I've watched in preparation for doing mine to know what to expect I've never seen this.
Which I actually think might be a good thing for you, messing with some injectors is less troublesome then trans issues.
The other thing is, my truck sounded exactly like yours...
You also can get that error if you are on one form of internet connection and your connection changes. It's a two way communication online even loading a page and doing nothing else on your end. Your web browser basically thinks I was making a call from 555-555-5555 and now it's being made from...
It's worse than I originally thought. The bumper pushed back into the fender and bent whatever the long horizontal blue piece is behind it some. And I havent been able to get 4 professional paint stores to match this blue paint to paint the bed so I wont be able to repaint it.
Pissed.
It has a different type of bumper. I dont know what's better about it, but I hit 4 just as hard all on the passenger side and this picture was taken after all of that.
But, it's dead in the driveway due to the stupid internal slave cylinder exploding on my way to work a couple months ago.
