I noticed the inspection plate has cracks in it, I think what happened was when I really got it spinning fast it caught and pulled it closer and the noise started. Could I just grind out that area entirely on the inspection plate? The bottom is probably the most important part for keeping water out

Gear roll over video: The clanking noise I heard: And a video of everything running without the inspection plate on after the noise: Everything look normal in that last video of everything spinning?

I drove it like I stole it on the way home from sheetz just now and didnt notice anything odd.. I'd never think twice if this hadn't happened. I guess that should be enough to make me feel better about it.. I tapped 3300 rpms a few times and no I'll effects

We just drove it over to sheetz and no noise. It made me more nervous because when I shut it off in neutral without the clutch pushed down I thought I heard something rattle like my old dmf did but I think it's just the gear rollover noise I heard. It drove perfectly without the cover on no...

Isn't that on the flywheel side? It just seems odd to me it hadn't done it until now after really being revved up once. I'm just worried something got loose somehow.

So all was well until I revved up to 3k to get up a big hill on the way home and I started having a ticking noise with rpm no matter of clutch in or out. I have a video of the noise. I took off the inspection plate and.. It definitely was rubbing. It isn't making the noise now but I'm still a...

That's more how mine is. Sub 900 rpm in first or second it will grow but outside of that its quiet.

Well I drove the truck for the first time tonight, and... it's perfect. I absolutely cannot believe how easy it is to push the clutch down now. It's got to be 25% of the effort it used to take to push the clutch now. I am not good at driving it yet. The gear rollover noise is scary the first...

Just an update on this, everything is hooked back up from this fiasco and the truck runs and moves. I'd say drives, but it's parked in at my buddies garage temporarily this week. Flywheel conversion is done and short of my clutch pedal assembly still needing replaced causing the clutch to start...

    Rough idle help please.

Idle might be too low? What rpm are you idling at. When I put my new injection system on my 6.9, it idled at like 625rpms.. I turned it up to 700 and it was pretty smooth 750 was perfect.

    Unbelievable luck

Yeah I'm just gonna stay away from another truck for now. I've found some that were nice but they are all sticks and I'd like to own one auto in case my fiance ever needs to drive something other than her suv. My cavalier goes pretty good in snow and I'm getting my 7.3 back this weekend.. in a...

    Unbelievable luck

I took the boot off. It looks like it's all junk inside. Pressure plate looks like the fingers all wanna bend and start snapping off. Not sure what the plan is. The engine runs perfectly, the body though its ugly and two colors has no rust and the frame has no rust [even for non salt belt...

Yep. I read that once you pop the slave cylinder out it basically pulls straight out. But that sounds too easy. I also messaged a guy local to me who has this truck for sale: https://morgantown.craigslist.org/cto/d/fayette-city-1993-ford-250-ext-cab-4x4/6787067766.html It's not an idi, nor is...

I'm guessing mine ran dry and started sticking to the point where that awful screeching...

What is the best way to remove the shifting fork on the t19s so I can peek in there and wiggle the throw out bearing around and see if its wrecked? I've definitely never done this before.

    Unbelievable luck

So about 4 or 5 months ago the concentric slave cylinder exploded in my m5od in my winter beater F150, it had 300k miles and was a rust bucket so whatever.. Around rally time this summer I found out my dual mass flywheel in my 7.3 was grenading. I missed the rally, and the truck is still in my...

Another game of where is that leak?

So on the top side of my 6.9 drivers side there has been a small oil leak onto the exhaust manifold from the valve covers. I think it's also leaking from the back side of the valve cover and leaking down all over everything. Anyone concur? I wiped the oil cooler off from the residual oil and...

Everything appears it's going to work out with the trans but the carrier bearing I bought for the driveshaft is too small and wont come close to fitting on the shaft. The old one is obliterated but I jammed a socket in it and then measured the width of the socket and its exactly 1 9/16 of an...

Dropped the new trans off tonight after cleaning it up and changing the fluid. I pre over filled it with about 5-5.5 quarts which should hopefully help my gear roll over noise. Hopefully it's back together this weekend but I'm in no hurry I don't drive it in winter almost at all anyways. I'd...

So... it does have this on the tailshaft, are we sure that's not a place for the cable? Should I take that off and see what's inside there or no? Haha.
