So what did you do with your truck today?

Last week got a complete new Luk clutch set up. Wow what a difference! Pedal pressure is now so light and no slipping from a 180k mi clutch. This week put in new parking brake cables and started the rear brakes, but noticed wetness. seems a little to greasy to be brake fluid so I'm guessing axle...

Would leaking IP cause wet clutch?

Thank you very much idibronco, probably misunderstood the poster, guess I can breath easy for a little while till there's enough moolah for a rebuilt IP. Maybe a month. Gonna eventually get everything fixed on this truck, first mechanical, then a little beautification, much later. Since I've...

LUK SMF new flywheel installation questions

I just bought the same LUK kit . Looking at the angle of the pressure plate fingers at rest, at full compression I don't think they come close to flat, let alone beyond where I think your concern lies. I'm not worried about it, but maybe someone else here knows better.

To OP, it sounds like your starter relay is going bad. Try jumping the relay with a screwdriver the next time this happens.

    4X4 Manual hubs or automatic?

I have automatics and love the convenience. They are 26 years old and have been opened up and greased once, when my brother the original owner had it. They still work fine. However lots of folks on here like to use the manuals to go into low range 2wd when backing up with a heavy load. The zf5...

    Front gas tank issue.

Slicknik I read those posts already, He said what material he used to undercoat it, but not what tool or method to apply it on there, (like some type of paint sprayer?) It's the tool I'm interested in.

    Project: asmith

Try heating up the hose with a thermostat controlled heat gun, or hair dryer on high until the rubber is soft, but not melting, then tighten the hose clamp. And grease the threads on the clamp first before you tighten.

Braking Stiff only when Applied Urgently

Check your ventilation control. It can leak in just certain positions. For example mine leaks only with the selector in the off position, but not heat, ac, defrost, etc. Turn the engine off, then listen in the cab for an air sound in the different air positions. Mine only bleeds off vacuum only...

    D50 springs with new bushings

Those Springs are exactly what I was thinking of doing! My springs are only 7/8ths inch off the bump stop, and I was wanting to add a snow plow. Do you know how much lift you got? Also what part of Jersey, Your not very far away, maybe I could pick up. (IF you still have them):D
