I have a standard set of eight connecting rods and piston in really good shape out of a running and driving motor. Real clean pulled out just like you see didn't clean or anything. Had to steal some of the rod nuts off them for my turbo rods. Asking 150 shipped or best offer.
sounds like compounds might be the way to go for all around low boost and high performance. i guess the limiting factor is the internals and where the breaking point is, and how to get it to the ground via a clutch or torque convertor.
That compound set up you showed before realy got me thinking. To bad I sold my ats kit about a year ago. Looks like I could have used it now. Looks like a good and simple with the stock up pipe set up. I am not a huge fan of these up pipe since they always seem to leak at the y-pipe over time...
fabrication only aspect that seems to come to mid as far as cost effective mean. as apposed to creating a exhaust manifold x2, transition to the up-pipes, the up pipes, transition to a turbo flange and turbo mount that fits between the valley intake manifold oh and btw the firewall. Im not...
not to throw another wrench or stir the pot. but what of your thoughts of true twins? one on each head like that jaguar sled pulling car. i think they are running k27 or k17 turbos on there with a p pump. obviously this for sled pulling only, but what the applications for this for everyday use?
ya it been awhile. but good to be back
i hate to say it but for good stock injectors go to ford. best quality and i think i paid 214$ with core out the door
there is a luk single mass flywheel on there now. i was considering doing a power stroke pp and clutch upgrade, but didnt know if my flywheel would work or not
the only reason why i say stock injector, is hey guess what you just took 40 gal on of bio diesel blend and one of your injectors just so happens to stop working. that why i like stock size injector for the 6.0. it makes good power and if and only if it break you can go to auto parts store to...
i have found many of those elbows. but again that transitions from the up pipe to that 90° i having trouble with. i am tempted to eat the 600$ for T4 set up for a powerstroke and chop it up to make it work.
turbos i have looked at s369xe for decent price but you mentioned earlier it would be...
not to sounds like a newb.... i have been out of the idi game for a bit, and now getting back into it. but has it been proven that taking out those plugs in the coolant passages in the head help the cooling effect????
i have been looking at a lot of the garretts lately. from mild to wild. id like 350hp to the wheels to be honest. i am not searching for the moon power wise. even anything 300 would be ideal size i still have stock NA rods. believe there was a thread over on FTE with evidence of NA not lasting...
not to super late to the party but i took my heads off studded the motor and put them right back on. unless there is sever cracking like huge crack id run the one you got
check out pure diesel power they have new orings and seals and copper washer for the 6.o injectors very decent price wise. but i have heard guys in the shop using 7.3 copper seals because i think they are bigger and create a better seal. nipple cups i got mine from pure diesel power. all new...
from what i have read its the length of the pulse width size physical size of the injector has increase so should the timing to get the even with the pistons and injector correlated. but i have seen guys fire them up and run some of the smaller sized other than stock injectors. tuning is key
