I would think they probably are, because with the exception of the electronics that shift it there are not much differences from the regular RoadRangers.

In the April issue of Overdrive there is a small article on Cat's new on road vocational truck automatic transmissions. It says they are based on the trannys in the off road articulated trucks, but redesigned for road use. The CX31 is a 6 speed automatic and the CX35 is an 8 speed auto. CX31...
I agree with George. Go with at least the 4310 for your uses. I think you will be much happier. They are all good tractors, even the little 2210 depending on your uses, but like I said for that much mowing, look into the 4310.

I have my CDL so it doesn't matter to me one way or the other, but it does seem like you get a different answer to that question depending on who you ask. A friend of mine asked a DOT officer and he said as long as the truck is 26k or under no CDL needed. But I have also heard people say you...
I like it a lot. Its not the best shifting tranny out there, but it sure beats an auto. I love the pattern with Reverse and low in the same gate.

I had never heard anything bad about them either. I don't know about the later ones when they were Volvos, but as far as the "real" Autocars I had thought they were a great truck.

Thanks Duke. I like having the sealed beam headlights because you don't see many trucks with them. At least around here even most of the XLs have the upgraded lights.

Duke, that is a great looking truck you have. The 4 wheel drives Internationals are so unusual around here. Don, yours is great looking too. Was that always a dump or did a power company have it as a bucket truck bofore. The orange and white colors are what the power company here has...
I'm in the south east corner of Vermont. I took a quick look at the atlas and it seems like somewhere around Poughkeepsie NY, probably a little south of it would be about mid way for us. Just something to think about for sometime.

I don't for not work use but I have always had the idea of putting a pickup bed on an F-800 and driving it around. Who knows, if the right truck comes along I might.

I don't think you can get a Passat that is Diesel AND 4 motion. You can get one or the other but I don't think you can combine them for some reason which is too bad. That would be a geat car.
Stephen
I don't know if they still make those or not. Definently uncommon. I was also thinking the three of us should try to meet up sometime. We could meet somewhere in NY that is mid way, for us and probably closer for Don. Just something to keep in mind.
