When you heard the clunk on the relay it should have turned the motor over. Did it? The new one that made no sound, was it screwed to inner fender? The mount is what grounds the relay.
It could be the ignition switch on steering column. I’ve seen them go bad or get loose and slightly move. Have you tried holding the gear selector up in park or moving to neutral to see if it will crank?
Did you jumper 12v to small post on relay or just jump across the 2 large terminals? If you put 12v to small terminal you can verify if relay works, or check “trigger wire” for 12v when key is in start position.
You’re welcome. Make sure your condensate drain is not clogged before you start. If it hasn’t been condensating in a while they tend to clog up with dirt or dust. Reach down by hvac box (has fan and evap coil, can also reach up from underneath) there is a rubber tube/nipple. Squeeze it and make...
A fully charged ac on these will condensate the suction line (larger of the two) right up to the compressor. Add a can slowly and watch the condensation creep from the accumulator to the compressor. Watch the condensate drip from evaporator (under truck) and when it’s charged you’ll see a steady...
Are you scanning it because you have a problem? 580 at idle and 1800 with some pedal is normal. When driving does it have good power? Ipr percentage would give more indication of performance. Should have at least 2000 lbs icp at less than 50% ipr.
Take the can off the filter and either take a punch on the metal screw connection (holes on each side) or put a pair of needle nose pliers in the metal screw connection (holes on each side of threaded connector) then put a screwdriver or bar in between plier and turn like a spanned wrench.
You might be able to take your carpet out and pressure wash it. My truck was used for work by po and there were coffee, drinks, and red clay. I pulled it out to install sound deadening and decided to try cleaning it before buying new. The new carpet just didn’t seem to have the fit and quality...
