    Fan clutch upgrade...

I believe what your seeing in that photo is the heat treating of the shaft and not a bushing. Here’s a few pics of an idi wp with and with out the bushing I made. You can see between the first few pictures that the hubs are quite different.

    Fan clutch upgrade...

Just so your aware, if you edit a post it doesn’t re-notify people subscribe to the thread, when I looked at your post in the morning it said “removed for later posting” or something like that, never knew you edited it again. Anyways, the 6.4 pulley will not clear the idi water pump and won’t...

    My arduino gauge project

I’m not sure how well the lcd would work in bright sun light if it would be all washed out and unreadable or if it would project glare back at you. The other problem is cold weather, lcds get really slow and ghost badly which would make it useless till the cab warmed up. The oled I’m playing...

I haven’t actually installed the sensor into the exhaust manifold yet, that’s my project for next week.

    My arduino gauge project

I’m using all ford sensors expect for the oil pressure sensor, reason for using the ford sensors is they haven’t changed the sensor element since they started using it, this comes in very handy as one can just tap off the E4OD tot line and get the trans temp right at the solenoid body and read...

    My arduino gauge project

Im doing the same thing your trying to do though I’m going to be monitoring a lot more things and I’m working on getting a layout figured out for a 3.5” lcd as the character display is just to blah for my liking. I may use 9 separate oled displays instead of the lcd for better daylight viewing...

    Bumper tow?

The bumper brackets welded to the frame on 92 up trucks are not very strong and the bumpers are weaker also especially compared to the early 91 down trucks, I would just buy a front receiver and be done with it and as a bonus that front receiver will stiffen up the front frame horns.

    Timing cover crank seal problems

Maybe you have a bad intake gasket? Small leak at idle with a turbo could cause that blow by and at higher rpm with a few pounds of boost could blow out a seal, this would be a leak from intake into lifter valley.

    hydroboost troubleshooting help

You could have a collapsing hose, plugged hb or gear box. Do you have the useless factory cooler on the front crossmember? I have seen these get hit and crushed and could be your issue.

    hydroboost troubleshooting help

No, but all I did was remove the nut and backing plate and push rod(input rod) and swap them from a dead obs unit to the 08. I’m also running the 08 gear box so I used a stock line from hb to gear. I reused the obs pump to hb but cut the hb end off and put an AN-6 end on and used a jic-6 to orb...

    hydroboost troubleshooting help

That’s what came stock with the Fsuperduty, I’m not sure if they ever made a 1-1/4”mc, I’ve only seen 1-1/8, 1-5/16 and the newer trucks run a 1.5” mc which is what I’m running with an 08 booster as it won’t fit the older boosters.

    hydroboost troubleshooting help

1-5/16 bore ^ Simplest way to get the right one is to order a mc for an Fsuperduty, if your still running the drum brakes in the rear make sure to swap over the residual pressure valve(big hex shaped piece) to keep the rear brakes functioning properly. As for the excessive heating of the fluid...

New (to me) 7.3 crew dually and some zf5 swap questions

The E4OD is 6” longer than the zf, diesel and 460 uses the same driveshafts. Best bet for a driveshaft is to put the trans in and measure what you need then go to wreckers and find one the right length.

    7.3L Powerstroke Turbo on a 7.3L IDI

Early 7.3 had a big exhaust housing and none waste gated, if you don’t mind reving to 2500+ before you see boost they do work, 99+ 7.3 are waste gated and do better but they still aren’t a great fit for these engines.

    Master cylinder wiring harness?

The only 3 prong switch would be the low fluid level sensor, you can test this by removing the cap and using something to push down the float in the reservoir. If you unplug the switch the e-brake light won’t light up when the ebrake is depressed, the low fluid switch is also a jumper.
