Voltage drop in cab with load (blower motor)

Not 100 percent sure on the 80-86 but if they are the same like 87-91 then it will be up around the ebrake release lever.

Voltage drop in cab with load (blower motor)

The thing that everyone is missing is the fact that almost everything in the cab is ran off of one power wire through ONE pin on the firewall plug, the exact same pins used on the glow plug harness that likes to melt. They changes this on the 92 and up trucks but if you really want to see a...

    throwing in the towel

Just curious, have you been using the same water pump this whole time? Maybe it has a high or low spot or maybe warped a bit and causing unequal pressure?

Electrical tape works wonders for sandblasting, do 3 or so coats of electrical tape and don't hold the blaster on it and you'll be good. Mite want to look into changing that bushing on the shifter linkage so it doesn't fall out, Dorman makes one 74043 which can be hard to find or 14057 but...

Any known problems with a 1987 temp gauge?

Which plug was it? I'm guessing the main engine harness plug?

Any known problems with a 1987 temp gauge?

If all your other gauges work I would start by checking the engine wiring harness on the passenger side of the engine, it likes to get melted pretty bad from the glow plug power feed wires and is probably where you'll find the problem, after that it just goes to the firewall then to the cluster...

    Clutch options

You don't need extra crush sleeves, only put the crush sleeve in at the very end after you got your pattern dialed in, just snug the pinion nut up till you feel some resistance to turn it, then put your carrier in and check back lash then pattern. It's not hard to do but you will have to pull...

Should I buy? 1994 F-350 IDI Turbo Reg Cab Manual (Hard Start)

I have to agree with laserjock, not worth it. You need 2 new fenders, bed sides and tailgate, that alone is 3g and you'll probably need a new rad support too, add in new batteries, glow plugs, injectors and injection pump as those wont be changed at that mileage and your at another $1000. I'd...

    Cooling sytem problem 7.3

Simple test for head gasket, remove radiator cap, make sure rad is full, start engine. If it blows out and you see constant large bubbles you know it's time for a top end tear down.

Crazy idea for D44HD TTB 4x4 conversion (feel free to hit me if I'm off the wall)

The f150 d44 beams are both longer then the f250 d44hd. I know you don't want any lift but it's probably the cheapest option to put a d50 under it... same hight as the 44hd but a bit stronger.

Side swiped by a dump truck today, what should i be sure to check when adjuster comes

My concern would be if the frame is tweaked or the frame rails are bent, that would be the major determining factor. Hangers, leafs and axle are easy to replace.

    condensation or water?

Have you tried to rotate the crank a bit? I had issues like yours and it was a holey cylinder but if the pistion is stopped just right, the cooling system will hold.

    Steering box rebuild info

Edelman 8896 or gates 348485 are the rebuild kits with bearings for these gear boxes, there is only one bushing in these and it supports the top of the sector shaft where the adjustment screw is, I've done a few of these boxes and the bearings and bushings look like new, what I do find is...

7.3 IDI water temp gauge sender location/size

Don't need to get that fancy with it, I did it with a cordless drill and the closes drill bit I had and it worked out great! Mind you if I had it all apart and a mag drill I'd use it just cause.

do i really have a 94 turbo block?

Most part numbers on theses engines end in c1 for NA or c3 for turbo, you should be able to see the whole serial number for the block with out taking the ip assembly off and it will end in either one of those, also the vibration dampener is different between the two. Note: there are NA...

    Blue smoke issue

Small update, haven't been able to load it down yet as it's not technically road legal quite yet but I did go for a spin around the block and couldn't see any blue from the exhaust. When you start it up it has a small hint of blue till the high idle kicks off so I'm thinking injectors are to...
