    If it used to click off and on, I believe that means the solenoid is bad. If your gauge is pegged hot I’d say the glow plug controller thinks the motor is actually that hot and not turning on the glow plugs.     I built a 10.25 for my 83 with 3.73s and a Detroit truetrac. Every time I tow I wish I had 4.10s but my 6.9 is na. It also has had a zf5 swapped in. Ideally I’d like to go 4.56 with a gear vendors + turbo. 3.73s are nice though. I can tow 70mph in 4th or 80 unloaded in 5th and still average...
