    Bed rail do's and don'ts

Sides I built for my gooseneck. 2’x16’ of 3/4 plywood. Studs for the uprights. Ran a 4’ 2x4 horizontal across the seam where the 2 2’x8’ pieces of plywood meet. Ratchet strap under the trailer, over the sides, and back under the trailer on the other side. Stops them from spreading (breaking...

I want a nee Dodge for Christmas - which one?

Personally I’d keep the ford, they all have their issues but if you’re set on a different motor, I’d consider a 5.9 swap before buying a dodge. The issue of power differences could be fixed with a programmer. Same engine, different tune dependent on trans from factory. If I were to swap from...

Aftermarket air filter-- how best to route CDR gasses?

The fl-1a is the oil filter for a 7.3 powerstroke that is better than our idi filters and is a direct swap Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

LED Headlight Bulbs in lieu of Relay

I don’t know if I have different vision than most people but the stock sealed beams on my bullnose and factory bulbs in my obs is more than enough for me, I rarely use high beams. They probably get used to more to bright people running these types of aftermarket lights just to find out that was...

My facet mechanical to electric fuel pump conversion review.

My truck has a 1982 build date and I’ve found it doesn’t have a lot of things everyone else’s truck does. No vacuum switch or fuel heater in this case Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My facet mechanical to electric fuel pump conversion review.

I’m not having any issues, I just posted that in response to earlier in the thread when we were talking about the facet not being enough Ideally, yes but I really didn’t want to mess with trying to reinvent the hard line from the filter head to the ip. I’m hoping that a new filter will show...

My facet mechanical to electric fuel pump conversion review.

Just got done installing my fuel pressure gauge. The T is between the facet and factory fuel filter. Both videos are full throttle. Ran the balls off the truck and couldn’t get it to drop below 2.5psi. Saw about 7.5psi max at idle and 6psi cruising at 60mph. 80cc pump Sent from my iPhone...

    U-Joint Counsel

I’ve hammered the ears apart on my jeep dana 30 shafts. They bent in trying to get the old u joint out. I wouldn’t buy a new shaft, just make sure the u joint moves freely Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Tire choices

Definitely wouldn’t pay for the nitrogen fill but if it’s free, I’m not going to tell them no. Hell the first Time I tow I mess it up changing pressure anyways lol. I think I got 3 free plug, patch, and rebalances on that road hazard in just 38k miles on those bfg’s so I think it’s worth it...

    Tire choices

Nitrogen fill is free. Road hazard was like 8$/tire. If it won’t hold air and they can’t patch it, I get a new one. Got 3 patches on my bfg’s with that warranty. It’s 15$ for just a patch with out the road hazard. Tire barn is the the most honest/best price tire shop I’ve ever seen. Those guys...

    Tire choices

That’s not horrible for a set of tires. Those general grabbers were like 870$ mounted, balanced, with road hazard, free rotation and nitrogen fill for life of the tire. It was like 280$ more for them to order the Goodyear’s I’ll be getting swapped on next weekend. The bfg’s I just replaced were...

    1989 F-250 7.3 Project

    Tire choices

I hope it does too. Why isn’t this subject more talked about? Do people just deal with the crappy 2ply sidewalls? I see people on here with truck that weigh twice what my truck does and never complain about tires I don’t understand why load range c geolanders felt firm on my 4500lb jeep but...

    Tire choices

Oh wow, I didn’t realize how close you were to me. We’ll have to drink a beer sometime. I may call that place if I can’t get anywhere with this next set of tires. I think I found the issue when I went to tire barn yesterday. The toyos I hated were 2 ply/10 ply rated. Bfg’s were 3 ply/10 ply...

    Tire choices

Just called; Bfg-didn’t speak English and wouldn’t help on the warranty because I didn’t keep all 4 tires General tire-didn’t speak English and had no idea what side wall flex meant and was asking if I drove off road and got a flat Goodyear-didn’t speak English and didn’t understand load...

    SPOOL INSTALL!!!

Mud/gravel you’ll be fine, just unlock hubs on the road. Might not like it if you use 4x4 on the road after heavy snow though. ARB’s are nice but at a 10th of the cost, that spoil will be awesome. Is it a mini spool or full? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Tire choices

Tires were balanced at 60psi, I added 10-15psi to try and stiffen the sidewalls and haven’t had them rebalanced but that wasn’t an issue with the old bfg’s these are 245/75r16 on my truck. Little shorter, little wider. I like the look Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Tire choices

The toyos I tried a few years ago and the general grabbers I just had installed both do this. When they dropped the front of my truck on the ground and I saw the sidewall, I just thought “not again...” I’ve heard good things about that at3w too but I’m kind of a stickler on white lettering and...
