    V Belts replacement

    I like gates serpentine belts,don't like their V belts. I don't like dayco serpentine belts but so like dayco V belts. Are you guys that threw a belt throwing gates? Gates makes napa too.

    I have never had a belt break or come off. I'm running the stock belt setup.

    Fwiw I had no luck with gates belts. They squealed from the get go even when real tight.I got the Duralast ones from AutoZone. Made in usa. Don't know who actually makes them but they have been flawless. Someone mentioned may be made by Continental. My shop cost is $4 ea too!

    If you do all easy hwy miles is then 5k. If you pull a trailer,trips less than 10 miles,idling,Extreeme heat or cold then 3 k.

    3k under severe conditions and 5k under ideal. I definatly fall under severe.

    I listed our only options. The big box stores ran the small mom and pop stores away 20+ years ago.Same with Hardware stores. Only option here is Lowes and Home depo. Cant get lumber anywhere else!

    We have O'Riley's,autozone, pep boys and the worst napa ever. I think the flunkies from the other stores end up @ napa so dont even bother with going there. Pep boys has to order everything from st. Louis and that takes 7-10 days. Autozone isn't too bad as long as the manager isn't there...

    The counter clown is trained to move what's in the store. There is a huge chance that the clown has no idea what an idi even is.

    My average hwy hwy mpg for the last 60000 miles is 14.2. city always 12.2 my best hwy was 17.8,worst 9 something.

    Has anyone sent in oil samples? Could kinds give us an idea as to how long we can let the oil go. I do mine around 3k.

    my 87 F250 weighed #6500 at the cat scale. I evenvstripped it down as much as I could, even took out 1 battery.Had to weigh it to register it. No emissions test for mine in calif.

    When my controler short cycles it means I need to clean where they plug onto the glowplugs. Had the same ones in since 2012.

    Some new bearings are aluminum instead of lead over copper. Is that what you have?

    Is the 6.9 governed higher? Mine will fuel right up to 3800.

    Hot I have 14psi @ idle and 38 going down the road. I would like to see 45ish but 38 seems to work and it's been like that for over 60k miles.

    Is your suction line ice cold? If it is then that part is ok.
