    Late IDI FSV questions.

38 gallon rear and 19 front is the way to go! Until you have to stop at the pumps. Makes for a very sad punch in the wallet.

    Walbro electric pumps?

Anyone here running a walbro electric lift pump? My mr gasket 95gph pump failed. This is the second one lost to WMO. I did some more research and found a Walbro Frc-13 pump. It's a reciprocating piston pump instead of a vane pump like I have been running. Claims on their website says it's...

    7.3 with c6 questions

Thy extra cable on yours is the cruise control (the one with the red end). Yes yours should have a kick down ROD. Not a cable an yours is missing the bracket of the injection pump for the kick down rod. I've been running without one for some time now but my transmission guy/ neighbor says I...

    7.3idi #8 cyl hardline

These lines are made out of all one piece. NiCopp will not hold up. They also have all be the same length so you have equal cylinder injection timing.

OIL COOLER TUBE WARNING!!, and a simple question

Loctite 518 or 515. I almost never use rtv now. 518 doesn't set up in oil so any bit that oozes out stays in liquid form. Plus it's pretty awesome stuff. Never had another valve cover leak using it or timing cover ect ect

    7.3 with c6 questions

You can run pedal to the floor all day as long as it doesn't get too hot. These old iron pigs don't mind running higher rpms for extended periods. You rpms sounds about right on where mines at with a c6. Your shifting sounds like a vacuum problem to me also

    4wd DNE2 Project

Hmmmm maybe you should have started this thread later on.... I contemplated doing the same but I figured I'd have to make it divorced with a small jack shaft between the TC and the od box.

    '93 7.3 EGT issues

With straight pipes and a factory intake hitting those numbers I point the finger straight at timing. Look at where you injection pump bolts to the injection pump gear housing. On the pump and housing is a scribes line. See if those are lined up. If so loosen your pump and give it a 1/16 of an...

    Power steering pump

If you have the time and if you can find the parts, go with a van Saginaw set up. I put one on mine because the donor engine was from a van. Least I can say is i am impressed. Smooth steering at any rpm and no whine (as if you could hear it over the engine anyway)

    80-86 radiator support?

If you have the short wide rad then you have a gas core support. I had a half plugged short wide from farm truck and brothers 86 gas f250 needed a rad. My diesel one was a direct bolt in on his core support. Now the tall narrow one is a different animal. Might be able to just weld in the loop and go

To all whom own a Bull Moose

I had my original 6.9 spinning 4k when it spun the bearings. Hit a hill grossing about 10k so I wound it out in second (c6) knowing id need it. Started running out of power so I dropped to 1st. Held that for a little and still ran out of power. I pulled over to pull it in low range and about the...

    Turbo my flatbed.

My stock fuel system pushes 12lb of boost on hard pulls with a hypermax kit. When I had the pump rebuilt I told them turn the fuel up but it can be done on your own easy enough. I am also running used bb injectors that I pop tested myself. Don't make it too hard on yourself. And your engine...

    c6 is out

To rebuild one usually isn't too expensive. Last one I had done was by a friend of mine and total cost with rebuilt TC was 600. That's also with me pulling it and installing it. If your in northern md I'm about central western pa and have a good used 4x4 c6. Old guy claimed a couple thousand on...

    Turbo my flatbed.

You don't need a huge elaborate pump to run a turbo. Just crank a little fuel to the factory one. On second thought, your engine being in a medium duty probably has the governor set way low, maybe 3000? Where as a pickup pump is set 3400-3600. I had mine set up closer to 3800, sometime the the...

I believe I have a comp 268h cam in my bronco, it's technically a marine cam. Tons of torque out...
