    Use to be Havoline motor oil was really bad stuff. Could always tell when it was in an engine when we tore them down. A gray slim that would not come off in in an hot tank. Don't know about it now days.

    It is listed as a line pressure sensor and I don't think I have seen one IDI with out it.

    Why is it that you are trying to change just the pulley. Use a 10mm to remove the 3 bolts pump comes right off.

    Fairly easy to just replace the fittings. Think it cost me around $50 for the fitting when I did mine.

    Why don't you just buy a clutch fan tool from Amazon, see they have one for about $30 . Would be well worth it.

    You need to use some good penetrant , not wd 40. once engine stops turning over back it up a little to have room for the fluid, need to be able to get a cup or so in. turn over until fluid is starting to come out of GP hole and then let set over night , tap on the valve where the rocker arm...

    I really doubt it is a rust issue. Where all the GP tips intact? When turning over how close do you come to make it a complete turn. Is possible a bend valve . pull the valve covers and see it things look okay there . A real loose rocker would mean a bend valve.

    Normally if water is in for any length of time they are stuck until freed up. but you will find out once pulling the GP.

    So they replaced the cam senor on an IDI? Interesting being an IDI does not use one to best of my knowledge.

    Personally I would just sell the truck and find the gas truck you want. doing a swap like that you better have a donor truck to get all the parts you are going to need.

    What kind of money did they want for that IDIT engine? If cheap enough I would get it and rebuild then put the turbo on it. A much better and stronger engine IMO

    Being a automatic it would come out fairly easy without pulling the front support. With a manual they are a little hard pulling. Motor mounts are a two piece unit, a metal bracket bolts to the block and then a mount with rubber in it bolts to engine part and frame. replace mounts if the look...

    I don't remember all that I did when I changed mine to a wide ratio. But I don't have a big RPM gap . Shifts pretty normal as far as I am concerned. For what I pull , heavy, I would never go back to a close ratio, make the truck worthless for pulling even with 4.10 as a dually.

    That may be , but it is still listed as a proportioning valve. Isn't the job of the brake adjuster to keep them from collapsing to far.

    All of my trucks have this valve . 89-90-93 dually. It screws into the master cyl.

    No they are not , It is what I have in my 93 IDIT dually. Both wide and close where used in diesels, believe though the close was more common.
