some questions about 80's diesel mercedes
1994-1999 ... after that I believe everything was "bluetec common rail". The OM606 is the only 6cyl DOHC diesel...injectors in between the cams in a hemi comfiguration. Beautiful engine really...- txquigly

Go to YouTube and do a search for "mercedes diesel burnout" and "OM606" and follow the vids! The Euro drifting circuit winners are running these engines with huge turbos and kicking butt!! CAUTION ... these videos will make you cary a stupid grin around for a while!!!- txquigly

When test driving in slower gears like 3rd to 2nd, if your on a gravel road or parking lot, it'll slide the tires from the braking effect! Even on the Semi's I have driven, the brake is more effective at the slower speeds...."mass in motion tends to stay in motion"...kind of deal. There's also...- txquigly

Actually, they have "jig" engines set up for the 6.9/7.3 IDI engines, the 7.3 T444E powerstroke, the 4 BT and 6 BT 24 valve Cummins!- txquigly

Good morning. I've been dragging up IDI trucks for a several years now and have several rows of stuff....both drivable and parts. No telling how many I've built too. Even have a few strokers sitting around too....nothing wrong with them, just prefer the IDIs. I have a pile of starters all shapes...- txquigly
