    If the flexplate has cracked beyond the crank bolts, you should be able to see that from the engine side with the inspection cover removed. I recently had the cover off on my truck. It takes only a few minutes and is three 7/16" bolts IIRC. I have to replace the flexplate on my truck very soon...

    There are a couple of little 3/8" square, gray rubber bushings in the column by the shift lever - did you replace those? I replaced the ones in the column of my truck about 8 years ago and that helped.
