88' 7.3l idi -My starter looks original spins slow. Full charged new batts. Will crank engine 3-4 revolutions only. All battery cables are new 2/0 and 1/0 gauge. A while back I smoked the starter, I left it on and it started to smoke. I read that replacing the brushes would spin it faster. Any...- Slimthehippie

I will try to adjust the band again. I tried once, the nut was rusted to the bolt, it got dark out and I ran out of time. I had to it to work in Chicago. If the material on the band is wore off and I adjust it will it damage anything other than the drum and in doing so will it make the tranny...- Slimthehippie

c6 rebuild advice?
So I will need to rebuild my c6. I have no 2nd gear and suspect a broken band and damaged drum. I have checked for the easy fixes so on to the full scale rebuild.
