    I got some shims from the local hardware store. They are small washers that are used for some other application, but I removed all of the other shims, installed on washer and it was just about on the money.

    What the difference between a gasoline pump and diesel. I see people using holley pumps... Can I use the one I got for practically nothing? Will it last?

    Yup. My spare motor is out of a 1993 Van and it has the timing adapter on #4, but my 6.9L has none.
