I searched "EGR" and did not see an answer so here goes. Does a 7.3 powerstroke from 2002 have an EGR? I need to know because I'm considering spending a ton of money on some Hot Shots Secrete Black Diamond oil and an oil bypass filter to extend the oil change intervals on my service truck. Thank...
I have a local diesel mechanic telling me to only use Motocraft oil in my 2002 E350 with a 7.3 powerstroke because most oils do not lubricate the injectors properly. Motorcraft oil is around $35 a gallon around here and has the Ford oil rating WSS-M2C171-F1. I looked at Rotella and even the...
As the title says I have a 1986 F-150 auto trans that I am thinking about converting to a 3BT diesel and 5 speed ZF5. My goal is to turn this truck into a towed vehicle behind the bus RV conversion I am working on. Currently it has a 351 Windsor with a 3 speed auto and low geared rear end, it...
Now that is a big help, seeing what I am looking for before I tear into it is a big plus. Thanks for sharing that post with us. That will take care of the mid tank and I am going to drop the rear tank to see if the same part will work there as well when the part gets delivered.
I like the idea of using a piece of fuel hose, I may put a brass fitting on the end to ensure that it does not suction itself down like you mentioned. I have yet to crawl under the truck and drop the tanks but I'm planning to the next clear day we have. Thanks for the relies everyone.
Yes I do need the whole assembly because my gauge stays pegged at full until about 5 or 6 miles before the tank runs dry. The needle will start jumping and I know I have around 5 miles until I start running out of fuel.
I've got a 1988 F-350 7.3 IDI with a dual rear end and two fuel tanks. I know I need both fuel pickup tubes A.K.A. "The showerheads" but I'm not having much luck in finding ones to fit my truck. I see them listed for 1992 and up ect. but none for the 88. Anyone else had luck finding these parts?
Quick update I did not find anything but a full steering column on car-part.com but I did find an OEM replacement shroud on ford parts center for $57 plus $10 shipping so I went with that. I thank all of you for your replies and suggestions.
Thank you for the replies. I too have thought about adding a hidden kill switch to my trucks and am working on a design now. As far as the parts go I found a replacement key cylinder and keys at O'Reilly's today and was shocked that they had it in store. The price was less than $20, another...
