Water pump on my old truck gave up. I don’t even remember when I replaced it last time, so old it was. 25+ years of service is not bad. Not sure if I got it right about holes. On eBay https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/MukAAOSwS0Finmax/s-l1600.jpg there are a couple bell housings with part number CTA-7505-B, https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/XecAAOSw401inmat/s-l500.jpg one seller replied that it is for gas engines only. Do you know the part number for this bell housing for 1985 6.9 with T19 ? On the original one I cannot find it - either it is facing down or somewhere else. Some parts stores seem to have similar bell housing but none are listed for 6.9 engine, and parts rep doesn't if it would fit 6.9 engine...- Sergey

Currently there is no place where this work could be done, truck sits on older uneven gravel overgrown with grass...- Sergey

Thank you for the feedback. Removing and putting back transmission with transfer case is not something I could accomplish myself, and unlikely I could pay for labor hours for shop to do it. The idea of putting a metal reinforcement bar is great. I wish it could be done in place, without...- Sergey

Hello, had a bad day, if not worse. First the clutch pedal in my old truck just dropped and stays there (photo 1). Couldn't drive without a clutch, was towed. Hello, this is not specifically IDI related question, but rather F250 related. Perhaps anyone knows how to open the dome light cover? I cannot find any screws on it, yet it sits firmly in the upper back of the cab interior. The reason is burnt light bulb. Lat time I replaced light bulb there...- Sergey

Name the cause of this smokeshow - 6.9IDI+T
I usually take it simple methodical when diesel engine produces smoke. Here we go Black smoke Comes from incomplete combustion too much fuel for little air, choose one or more from faulty injector, air filter blockage, or not enough time to burn – incorrect timing incorrect, too...- Sergey

Hello, my truck has factory original 1985 cables (to my knowledge). And their sizes are not matching what you specified (red cable between batteries is thicker than both black negative cables). In here in western WA there is B99 in Seattle (dedicated biodiesel only fuel station). But I use biodiesel fuel very rarely for several reasons, some mentioned by another forum members a) B99 here is considerably more expensive than regular #2 diesel b) that B99 is like acetone towards...- Sergey
