Gotta replace my shift solenoid for my '93 E4OD, I know it has to be within the 89-94 for electrical reasons, but does it specifically have to be a 4wd or 2wd model solenoid? I've seen some listed as either or but it seems like it almost doesn't matter. My trucks a 4wd.

I only did mine because my truck has the E40D, if it had the ZF5 (I wish) then I wouldn't have bothered. Diode method and bypassing the cold temp switch are wiring it two different methods though. Like the other boys said, pretty much just up to your own personal preference..
I just did my '93 IDI (stock rad) with the oldschool green Ford ESE-M97B44-A concentrate, supplemented with Motorcraft VC8 SCA (from rockauto.com). Mixing 50/50 is a nuisance but isn't too much of a pain as long as your patient & have proper safety gear/do it in a ventilated area.
