Have a set of bran-used arp head studs for a 7.3 idi. In great shape, figured I would offer them up on here first. Shoot me a PM if you're interested. $275 shipped.
Update: Pretty sure the glow plug relay is fried, it's not sending any juice to the glow plug wires. I'm going to dig through these forums and find out how to wire them through a ford starter solenoid, and just run a momentary push button switch like used for starters.
Thanks for the suggestions guys, going to actually go dig into it a bit deeper today, I bought a new volt meter so I can properly diagnose this hopefully...I believe the controller is fine, the wts light comes on for about 10 seconds then goes off, but we'll see.
So I have been absent here for awhile, mainly due to my truck not giving me any issues, but that has changed as of recently. 1987 F250 6.9, auto FWIW, I had an issue with it not starting, so I replaced all 8 glow plugs with the motorcraft zd9's, truck started better than it ever had, for about a...
Thanks guys, I just pulled the diff cover off and drained the fluid...didn't seem to be many metal shavings if any at all. So i'm wondering exactally what i'm dealing with, the pinion seal isn't leaking which is kind of odd, because usually that gets knocked out when the bearing goes.
I am working on my 1995 f150, and my outer pinion bearing is bad. I was wondering if it was possible to do the outer bearing without removing the carrier? Could I just pull the seal out and dig out the bearing? Or is the only way to remove the carrier. Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hard to tell but the transmission cooler may be leaking in the radiator. I'm not sure how to test that I'm guessing you'd have to pull the radiator and bring it into a radiator shop and have it tested. Is there an external transmission cooler? That could be leaking. If you don't have one you...
Just got back from working on it. Installed new aluminum heads with adjustable roller rockers. Turns out the idiot that wired the dizzy had it for a ho engine 1-3 etc and I wired it non ho 1-5 etc ran great. Yes im the Idiot that wired it wrong but proud to admit it though, Because I found it.
The camshaft is a b303 grind not an actual frpp grind. I called delta to verify they do not change the firing order. Went from 6.272 pushrods to 6.300 not that big of a difference. ..they were needed, the rocker arms wouldnt preload the lifter correctly.
