    cold idle solenoid?

    Thanks! I'm near finished converting the bus to run on straight vegetable oil. It's been torn apart for close to two months, and I snapped the cap and wiring off working in the snow last night. Have to prime the fuel and coolant lines and wire up some gauges and I'll be turning it over...

    Help! I broke the rubber boot and wiring off of the solenoid on the passenger side of the IP. In my IHC manual, the part is called the "cold idle solenoid" What does this solenoid do? Will the engine start without it (when I get everything else back together?)...? Winter is on now...
