Alright. Wound up taking yalls advice and went with the hydra. Gotta say, pretty impressed! Due to my pcm code, I didn't get too many available canned tunes, and due to swapping to manual trans the tow tunes won't net me much gain other than power. Oil and coolant mixing
I used simple green to clean my coolant system out. But then let my worry get the best of me and replaced every gasket, hose and seal right after thinking it may have damaged them in some way- frankenwrench

SMF Clutch kit
I have no opinion on the perfection clutch as I've never used them, but I've had really good luck with my luk clutch kits and I tow heavy and often. Also have real good luck with the southbend clutch kit I got from Classic Diesel Designs and really like it and have used southbend in other trucks...- frankenwrench

7.3 Diesel Transmission Adaptor Plate
Just compared the two, the powerstroke adapter is thicker. If you were closer I'd give you one of the many I have laying around for an idi if that's the one you need. Don't have a spare for a powerstroke, but plenty of spares for an idi.- frankenwrench

Can I run the 140 tune without bigger injectors? I have the ebpv delete and adrenalin hpop as well as a cold air intake and mbrp 3 in downpipe into a 4 inch exhaust shortened to come out in front of the tire instead of behind, but stock injectors and basically stock everything else other than...- frankenwrench

After some more looking, I think for the extra 100 bucks and added benefit of not having to send the chip in every time I want to change the tunes, IL be following yalls advice. How do yalls trucks do with the 50 and 75 hp tunes while towing? And how's the fuel mileage with them vs without? The...- frankenwrench

I now have both, my personal opinion, snatch up an idi. Tuners are probably great and all, but I love the simplicity of an idi. My dd is a 91 f250 with a 3582 turbo, intercooler, 110 cc ip, stage 1 injectors, 3.73 Yukon gears, and a zf5. Walks all over the powerstroke loaded or unloaded. Stomps...- frankenwrench

I have a 97 powerstroke, srw, 4x4 originally automatic. I swapped to a zf5 and absolutely love it. But was wondering which chip I should order being I swapped auto for manual, and left the auto pcm and wiring alone on the truck. When ordering, it asks auto or manual. ARP lube on stock head bolts
I made the same mistake back in 2017 on my 91 f250. That 7.3 is still putting today. And I'm mean to her as far as working her. Even threw a 093 turbo on it and a maxed out stock ip- frankenwrench

Zf5 swap, im sure this has been beaten to death, but...
97 powerstroke, e4od, cclb, 4x4, d60. Intent is to swap the powerstroke to manual. Snagged a 4x4 zf5 from one of my part wagon 7.3 idi's. I dropped the e4od from my powerstroke, pulled the flex plate, and found a spacer plate between the crank and flex plate. I need this for my swap to zf5? A...- frankenwrench

Short throw shift for the zf5?
Verry much so. Many deaths here in Texas are avoided daily by her cupholder. No coffee? Everyone dies! I make coffee for her every morning before she wakes up so that it's already there. By doing so I have saved a lot of money on my home repair bill tye past 20 years. Lol- frankenwrench
