I would suspect several others have made the same assumption about the feed pump not doing its job. I think there are a couple of reasons for thinking this; You cannot see the results of the feed-pump-to-the-injection- pump. If you have the pressure at the feed-pump, then it is doing its job...
The posts getting warm/hot is from resistance at the post connections. Clean then real good! It is the little stuff like this that causes or contributes to bad starts!
