C6 overheating mysterious cause
I got a Four Seasons one via Walmart recently and it seems to work ok. Do you have the transmission connected to the radiator cooler like it should be? Even with an extra cooler, it seriously needs it to be connected or it'll cook the transmission.- Cubey

Yep it takes some time to get the fluid flowing. Mine did the same when I changed the fluid. Contact GearVendors and order the instruction manual. The rear tank doesn’t like to take fuel
Some stations are extremely foamy. The RV's front tank had a very long way for fuel to travel from the front filler to the tank. If the nose was downhill and the station was foamy, it would take a good 10 minutes, at least, to fill the tank. If flat and not foamy, it wasn't an issue.- Cubey

I used the gasket that came with the b&m deep pan and had no problems with leaks. Did it come with cap screws or hex bolts? the hex bolts the pan came with were useless, they interfered with the pan casting on several so I couldn't tighten the bolts. Yep. I had an inner dually tire blow on the RV at 55-60mph, shortly before I sold it. It just made a loud pop, it didn't jerk or sway, no loss of control. It also allowed me to slowly drive a bit further to a very wide shoulder section of the interstate. I was heading for a nearby exit, but...- Cubey

1985 6.9IDI not starting
The way 6.9 works too, at least based on how I wired up my manual button, the key wasn't required to activate the plugs. That was useful with the electric fuel pump. No need to make the pump run while the plugs are heating. The 6.9 controller would activate after running a time or two until it...- Cubey

The one in the RV was black too and suddenly quit working after I owned it several years. I just unplugged the connector and ran a manual button on the relay/solenoid.
