    Fuel sender float???

converted mine to use all of the readily available gas components many years ago. polyethylene tanks and gas sending units in my opinion address all of the issues idi diesel owners face when servicing the tank(s) and sending units.

    Battery jumper packs?

I picked up a JNCAIR 1700 {jump pack with built in air compressor} for $10 at a yard sale because it would no longer hold a charge. Bought a new replacement battery for around $50 and it works great! Facebook marketplace would likely be another resource for a great buy. The major wear component...

So what did you do with your truck today?

I was thinking original factory lines were black plastic? If you're replacing fuel lines you might consider PTFE with braided stainless sheath. Ebay has some great prices.

Who make good parts for these trucks

If you're new to these engines, my advice is to watch all of the youtube vids titled R&D IDI Performance engine build. You'll quickly realize these engines require specific knowledge to "build correctly", while at the same time the vids provide an opportunity to gain knowledge from a seasoned...

Another fuel tank eaten by salt.

I went the plastic route years ago (at least 10 years ago) and zero problems.

    Pre cups

Would that be something R&D IDI Performance might have? According to his youtube videos, he does head work.

    Injection pump cores.

@Black dawg, just an FYI,,,,,, make certain you check cdd list of core buy back parts on the same day you're shipping them. I made the mistake of printing the list, laying it in the garage and then over the following weeks consulted it while packaging parts for shipment. Unfortunately during...

    Injection pump cores.

Also shipped them core parts for store credit. Valve covers, injectors, an old Banks turbo, and an injection pump. As for packaging the injection pumps, CDD warns you to make certain all of the old fuel is drained to avoid the shipper (FedEx, UPS, etc) rejecting the package as hazardous...

    Noise abatement?

You can extend the life of older door seals and or make new seals that much better by adding "backer rod foam" to the hollow cavity built into the seal. installation was a little tricky if memory serves, its gotta be dry, and i remember using baby powder. Suck a small string thru length of seal...

    Noise abatement?

I bought rolls of "Peel & Seal" from Lowes. Very easy to install, adhesive back and foil on the other side. I removed the seats and carpet, then installed the peel & seal on everything including the back wall of the cab. Basically everywhere you can put it. The extended cab {black truck in my...

Original early copper brass radiators vs aluminum

Niagara Bottling {I think} used to be Aquapenn Water. I worked on the original construction of that building {huge building}, early 1990's.

Dirtleg, I noticed you're in VA, not certain if you're interested in travelling a little however here's a shop located here in PA that I used for several brass re-core rads. "Cross Radiator & Air Conditioning". Located in Milesburg PA. Phone: 814-355-4109. Old timer, does this work in a garage...
