Hard starting
I checked the glow plugs wednesday, and they were bad. Pieces of the glow plug were missing. So I replaced all 8, and she fired right up.Thanks for the info.- Bobbo's F-350

Hard starting
I have a 7.3 litre diesel. It was running fine, then about a couple of days ago, the thing started to barely start. It has a new injection pump, fuel pump, fuel filter, newly changed oil and filter, and a new glow plug switch/relay. This thing still will not start, but after a half an hour or so...- Bobbo's F-350

I am surprised that it will only cost 300 bucks. I figured that it would cost well over that. For the heads, intake and exhaust manifolds. Well I will do it for that price. So any machine shop will port and polish them for me.- Bobbo's F-350

Porting and Polishing
Has anyone ever port and polished there 7.3 or 6.9 heads or intake. I have talked to a couple of people who have done it to there cummins and they said it made a big difference in horsepower. I have not heard of anyone doing this to the 7.3 and the 6.9. I would like to send my heads and intake...- Bobbo's F-350

I was also wandering, My A/C compressor just took a crap. Would I get any noticeable horsepower change if I replaced it with a bypass pullie.- Bobbo's F-350

straight pipe?
Hell Yeah!! straight piped is better. Thats the only way to go. I have on my 1993 F-350 3inch pipe from the turbo going into a nice big set of 5inch slash cuts stacks. who needs a radio when you got stacks!!!!!- Bobbo's F-350

I have a 1993 F-350 with a 7.3 idi and I love it. But just a little while ago. I blew a head gasket on it. So anyways I fixed it.
