Just wanted to brag a bit here: but my rig has got 224500 miles on it, and it doesn’t burn a drop of oil. I use rotella t5 15w40. Same drain plug, 7.3 power stroke oil filter. Not a single drop of oil burned. Pretty sweet.- BIGR3DMF

Cam Upgrade to 7.3idi NA diesel
Hello, I am just wondering how effective/worth it/possible a cam upgrade is the a NA 7.3 idi. I do not want to go the turbo route because of the high compression ratio and also I’d feel safer with a turbo block which I do not want to invest in. Hey guys, I drive a 1993 f250 with a 7.3 idi non turbo, it is 4x4 with a zf5 transmission. It has a long bed and an extended cab. Absolute beast of a truck but the two piece drive shaft is tired.
