want you opinion
I would like your opinions....... I have to sell my truck. My medical problems are making it way to hard for me to drive my beloved dually and I can't hardly judge distances while driving it any more. I'm going to a smaller pickup single cab diesel f-150 hopefully. My truck is in awesome...- badasp118

I did the tests Mel suggested n they showed the relay was bad. So I tried three other relays including one off my buddies tuck. None worked however they all work in his f350. All the wiring seems fine...I'm at a loss.....- badasp118

Well I'm still fighting mine, and I'm getting ready to go do the tests Mel suggested. Now as for the last entry, Huse you are very correct...my Norwegian language skills SUCK! No problem on the hijack as its all the same and it helps us learn. I used a borg Warner starter relay on mine. Napa guy is an old idi mechanic and he swore that the relay is the same and he has used em for years. I'm starting to think its is ground related or bad wires.- badasp118

one good thing though, all of the junk autolight glowplugs came out with no swelling, and no problems. I am thankful for that.........- badasp118

Well I will do the tests, But i do not have power to the glow plug stud at the z strip. I have power to the Power lug, but appear to have no change in voltage as my volt meter is not fluctuating when the glow plug relay should be activating, like it used to. I hear the click of the ip, but...- badasp118

Well its wired correctly. But I have no power to the glow plug stud. I have no clicking indicating its working. I wondering if the new relay is a non clicking type? I'm at a loss.- badasp118

Ok I tested all the glowplugs and they are all good. I have power to the glow plug relay but when I touch my test light to the glow plug stud on the controller it shows no power.- badasp118

Well I wired it back up the way it originally was. An update though it is uncomonally warm today about 60 degrees and the truck fired up perfect with no plugs and ran perfect. This has to be q glow plug issue now that I've fixed all the air intrusion. Ill recheck the wiring....- badasp118

I really need some help guys. I put new beru glow plugs in and replaced the relay on the glow plug controller. I even put a new 4ga power wire to it. It still doesnt click or do anything. Im dead in the water
Well my starting system is all new. New series 31 batteries, new cables, new 150 alternator, new high torque starter, new regulator, and a new solonoid. It turns over awesome. Well, I havn't cracked at the injectors as I have been working on it by myself. I do have a loud click at the IP But I have found that Im not hearing any clicking from my glowplug controller. I dont know if thats a result of the problem or if I have burned it up trying to start it. as for...- badasp118

Well I cant get it to start at all. I have fuel to the filter, new filter, new orings in filter head, cant seem to find where the air is getting in. im cranking for ever and once in a while it acts like it wants to start. even gave it a puff of ether and it tried, but no ball game....I don't...- badasp118

its coming from the center. Ive replaced the inside o-ring twice now......with the correct o-ring. Its very frustrating. I guess its not thearm then as Im getting fuel.- badasp118

Okay I cant get a picture to post of the heater insert, but it appears to be just the standard heater plastic insert for the 7.3 filter head. It looks just like the picture that has been floating around in posts with names for everything. I have a question though could my mechanical fuel pump...- badasp118
