Be careful Justin, That's what wound up costing me a lot of dough. You might ought to try the Fass 2 before you condemn it, it's way more pump than the alternatives. I really feel that most of the problems that have happened with the Fass setups have been flukes or installer error. But like I...- 94matt

Anyone running any non-oem turbo's on this forum?
Tmaas, I'm with you on the small twins set. I've been thinking of building a set with an Hx40 as the big turbo. I don't want huge power, but do want instant spool at high elevation. Let us know more what you find out about the smaller turbo's. Matt- 94matt

Turbo help
I have another "outside the box" suggestion. Have you giving any thought to a cam? Most of the cams available help lower egt's, and also help improve mileage, sort of a win win situation. The reason I can't suggest a turbo, is I don't know much about the turbo's in that size. I would think...- 94matt

Just my uneducated opinion, I would look at stepping up in injector and tow on a lower setting on the comp (If not off). That is assuming you're having egt trouble towing with the comp turned up. The wire tap boxes do not give tow friendly power. Matt- 94matt

I've just started running 20% bio, and man what a difference it makes. The truck is smoother and quieter, all it took was filling up with something else besides good 'ol #2. I can't wait to try 100%. Matt- 94matt

Another heads up, if you decide to go for the Carter 4601, Summit carries them for just under $100. I am surely biased against that pump after my episode and wished I would have spent the $385 for the Fass 2 the first time. Good luck with whatever you choose. Matt- 94matt

WARNING! The Carter 4601 cost me roughly $1000 when it stranded me 200 miles from home, only two months after I bought it. They are just as useless as the stock lp. Do like Whitmore said, just go with the Fass and be done with it. Matt- 94matt
