I'd try cleaning the IPR, then run with the valve covers off and check to make sure the injectors are all spitting oil properly. Hitting a high duty cycle with low pressure suggests high pressure oil leak, or bad IPR. Could just need injector orings, or they've come loose. You'll notice with the...- 13fcolt

I forget the year it changes, but the tach doesn't show anything during cranking on certain years. The reason I don't think it's a fuel problem is because any fuel leak bad enough to prevent starting will leave a puddle. it's not uncommon to get no codes with a faulty CPS even when it has completely died. I still have a grey Motorcraft CPS from a few years ago, that caused me much headache. It will just randomly quit, no codes, no warning signs, no consistency to it. Cranking with no start like it's not getting...- 13fcolt

CPS is Cam Position Sensor. I'ts located in the front cover just above and to the passenger side of the harmonic balancer. One 10mm bolt holds it. Do not over torque. I'd bet it's the CPS. When it goes out, the injectors don't fire, giving the appearance of no fuel.- 13fcolt

4R100 FLUSH PROBLEM
As far as I've seen, any blockage in the trans would have killed it. The reason for the color change is that as the new fluid is pushing out the old, there is some mixing going on. That will cause dark old fluid to lighten as it's being flushed out.- 13fcolt

If no external leaks are obvious it's not going to be fun. Has the pressure test been done on a hot engine? Only so many places for coolant to go, If it's not on the ground I'd be checking both fuel and oil just to be safe. Typically if any part of the cooling system leaks internally it will...- 13fcolt

7.3 slight miss, knock, but compression and injectors seem OK... What could it be?
I was certain my clicking sound was coming from under the valve cover. Drivers side, right behind the alternator. I swapped that injector to the passenger side. noise was still there. sticky lifter? nope. I overboost on occasion so valves and pushrods were likely culprits as well, but all good...- 13fcolt

I had a similar issue on my 01 excursion. Chased it for months, everything I could think of, bent valve, pushrod, bad injector, wiring harness...etc truck ran fine, just the sound that was louder sometimes or not even there other times. just before I finally found it, it had become constant...- 13fcolt
