zf5 swap possible

hey guys my buddy has a 2000 f250 that blew the tranny yesterday. I have a zf5 from behind my idi i was just wondering if the zf5 would bolt up to the powerstroke it used to have an automatic. Has anyone done this swap. Thanks for the help guys.

Mike, they are 2 different animals.
The bell bolt patterns are different.

alright thats what i was afraid of so i guess it will have to wait till money comes around for him we were just looking for a cheaper way out. Thanks for the help.

What?!? NO. A idi 6.9 , 7.3 1st gen PSD ,and 2nd gen PSD are all the same bell bolt pattern So YES it will work!!!
