Will a 92-96 cab work on an 91-older?

I looked at mine again. It's got a big ding in the pass side cab corner that I hadn't noticed. Probably not worth the trip for you. The good news is white paint is cheap if you wanted to hit it with a quick driveway paint job to make it all match.

I'll snap a pic for you if you want. I'll look and see if I have a pic in the archives.

somewhere i have pics of both firewalls. totally different. i tried that when i was knee deep in my ext cab project. ended up scrapping the project due to not wanting to find another cab after buying an obs cab

You could just get the obs cab and wiring harnesses and bolt it in and you'd be done...

As long as he had a title. I don't know how much higher taxes and such would be on a slightly newer truck, but if they see a older engine in it they might not like it. They like to lift the hood sometimes where I live.

It would be technically an EPA legal swap because they put IDIs in that gen truck so unless they are more finicky than the Feds you would be fine.

That ain't so bad, some work with a body hammer and a block/dolly and it's done, the door edge might take some work, but that's a $100 fix( at most). :dunno
