On the 93 even if you have the tow package, the 7pin receptacle is not mounted. The brake and battery wires are wrapped up in the frame in a harness. Dig them out, one will be blue and the other is black or orange. The Hopkins adapter plugs in for the tail/brake and running lights. You have to hook up all them wires to a 7-pin receptacle. Wiring diagrams are on etrailer. If you don't have the pigtail to hook up a brake controller I have one. $10 + ship. That brake pigtail is usually in the glove box on a new truck.

Dads 91 was a camper special. His brake control pig tail I think was under the bench seat.

Ha ha .

If your referring to me. I was in the RV service business from 89 to 2004, after I retired from Ford in 87. Installed a lot of trailer hook ups.

Many thanks to riotwarrior, I found the correct plug for the adapter. It was a PITA getting to it. But I've got everything hooked the way I need. Even found a reverse signal for the back up camera.

Let me revive this for a minute since I just started a new thread for this. I have the factory tow package with the two for pin plugs for a seven pin RV hook up. I have no power at those plugs but all truck lights function. Where do I start to find where the factory trailer wiring gets powered separately from normal truck lights? (Y)
