nice, within the next couple years i want to get my 69 out and fix it up.

My truck's primary purpose in life is moving my motorcycle trailer around. The trailer weighs 2k lbs empty and I usually put 1 to 1.5k lbs of stuff in it (4-5 bikes plus gear) for a typical total weight around 3500lbs.

It also hauls firewood and anything I need to move than can't fit on the back of my street bike (ranges from tractors to plywood).

Towed approx 17,000 pounds today behind the 250. A 3,800 pound trailer plus a 16,500 pound aircraft tug. Towed good, set the cruise at 45 and away I went. I made sure i used a second set of jack stands when I unloaded the tug off the trailer. This is my oops picture. gotta make the other pics smaller so i can upload them. Sorry about the size.

neither of em are treating me too good right now. No work (or not enough to make it worth while) & as I type this, I'm waiting on a mobile trailer repair truck to head to Fredericksburg, VA & tell me why a spindle nut with a torque spec of 750 ft-lbs backed itself off a trailer axle.

I drove a 1995 L9000 with a 30 foot tiltload on it, hauled more oversized loads than I did heavy ones.

I have hauled broken tractors with 40 foot trailers still attached.

The wildest thing I think I have ever hauled was Herbie the Love Bug (it won't let me load the page, but you can check out www.facebook.com/oil.burner, and then add me to see the pics of the tows) among MANY other cars, trucks and vans.

I carry (payload) up to 13000 lbs 3x A week
and on the weekends its a tandem axle with a 6500lb K5 jimmy,
nothing like a 6 cylinder going up a hill in overdrive doing 1300 Rpm and not slowing down
