The Moose Truck had a base price of around $11,900 in 1983. The diesel was an expensive option, and I think pushed the price I paid up to around $13,800. With the interest rate a 20 year old could get on a new car loan at that time, I think my payments were like around $600 a month! A huge sum of money, and most of what I made, but I lived at home and mom bought everything. My income paid my loan and took Suzi out on dates.
