What controls the amps light after 3g alternator conversion?

Been seeing the light randomly going to and from work, but checked connections and output... all seems good. Did the 3g conversion last year and all has been fine. So is it something else or?...... Thoughts?

never thought about it, but I have not had an issue after replacing the stock alternator. I did remove/replace the entire regulating harness and used heat-shrink over the one extra wire (green if I remember correctly).
