When I was running wires to the switch for my fuel tank transfer pump, I noticed a big grey plastic connector loose with a big white plastic module next to it. I pulled the module out and Googled the Ford part number.
For some weird reason, someone unplugged the "key in ignition" warning module. I guess they found it annoying? I mean, the driver door has to open before it goes off. It's also for seat belts but I have lap belts only with no wires, so that function is useless.
I reconnected it and it works fine.
It's not a headlight reminder which seems like a missed opportunity. I could use that more than a key reminder.
What's some weird things you have found done on your trucks/vans?
