Just got a call from my buddy who is the middle of Kansa towing the race back into Denver.

He said that when evr the truck reaches 23psi it just drops on its face and feels like it is bleeding all of the boost off. Wait a few seconds and every thing is back to normal.

He checked the intercooler pipes at the last fuel stop and didnt see anything wrong. EGTs and everything look good.

On his way down to oklahoma the truck saw 30psi and ran just fine.

any ideas.

it sounds like an issue I had with a peterbilt once and what it ended up being (believe it or not) was a slightly loose clamp on one of the hoses coming off the air to air and it kind of burped I guess you could say at a certain psi but held before that pressure like a pressure release valve almost! I have also heard of it happening due to a weak wastegate.
