I have a quick question that I am hoping someone will be able to answer. There is a little black reservoir box attached to the A/C box on the passenger side that I have not been able to identify.....or see the need for. There is also a small black vacuum line attached to this box.
When I did the head gaskets most recently, I removed this box because I was unable to remove the pushrods near PS firewall. And when I took this box off, it was not connected to anything internally. It looked like a hollow box with baffles that was glued on the side of the A/C box from factory. I re-installed box using goop adhesive but now have a slow vacuum leak. So, is this reservoir needed or can I plug up line and forget about it:dunno? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

Mine isn't hooked up. Its been like that ever since I got the truck. I think its used to help the interior vacuum controls but I could be wrong either way everything works fine without it on my truck.
