there are three types of turbos .type !=NEW w/warranty........type 2=rebuilt w/warranty .....used and still under warranty ....99.9 percent of junk yard ,and used low mile turbo chargers ,will be ****** oil ,sounding like someone installed a OIL LEAKING SAND BLASTER UNDER THE HOOD ,dont waste youre hard earned money

Could not afford $2,000 for a new one with a damned warranty. Spent $400 on mine and love it! If it turns out to be ****** oil ,sounding like someone installed a OIL LEAKING SAND BLASTER UNDER THE HOOD (even though it has not yet) then I will buy another USED one for a fraction of the price or go NA again.

I have bought several turbos I pulled from a junk yard. If you know what to look for, its not a problem. Check shaft play and condition of blades, and you are fine. Just don't buy a cheap turbo even new off ebay.

just assume the worst when buying used and figire sometime it will be a 500 clam rebuild, with upgrade.
