Turbo Out???

A friend of mine has a 99 PS. I have not looked at it yet but he says he has no power and there is alot of oil comming out of the intake tube by the turbo. I asumme this would be the turbo. I have not had to do a turbo yet. Any idea on the cost to fix.

We rebuild turbo's like that all the time. Give me a PM if your interested.

RiffRaff diesel sells a turbo rebuild kit for $80-ish and a new center cartridge for $400-ish, both of which I've read about being used with a high degree of success as long as you take your time and put it back together correctly.

it could be the CCV dumping oil back into the intake.

what does the truck make for boost? is it puking black smoke(boost leak)? how many miles are on the motor?

i'd stop driving it, could end up with a run away condition.

Did you actually find the root cause?
Could've been the EBPV.
